Our Leadership Development Program is a ministry we use to impact a child's whole life. The students who are chosen for this program receive the bulk of our attention and time. By focussing on these kids, we can truly effect their lives, and the lives of their family members. Four days each week, we spend time tutoring (with homework and extra curriculum), eating with and having special lessons with these kids. The special lessons include character traits, life skills and discipleship times, with the kids also attending the regular Tuesday night Bible club (which is open to all in the neighborhood of that age). The LDP kids also have weekly mentoring time, and as they get older will be expected to be "giving back" to the community, either through serving within Urban Connections or by partnering with another organization or church.
